My project is on prevention of teen depression/suicide. I post positive/motivational quotes. I also post suicide hotlines for people who need it. I want to help people who are too afraid to ask for it. To help my project evolve, I can get more involved in real life. I can encourage teens (or whoever views my page) reach out to people in their lives. Maybe I can even reach out to them personally, and give them the best advice I have. This course has changed my view on social media by showing the dirty truth behind social media sites. This course has also showed me that I can make a difference (positively) in peoples lives around the world. This course has most importantly taught me the secret rules to social media, and how to keep it clean so that people can see me for who i really am. Its taught me that I shouldn't act a different way on social media than i would in person. My "aha"moment was during the final project. This final project has taught me that social media isn't all that bad, that can it really make a change, as long as I put myself out there. It helped me realize that there is really only a screen between the rest of the world and I. Social media helps put the world just at out literal fingertips.
